Professor David Carrasco

Dear Members of the Harvard Club of Puerto Rico:

Happy New Year! I hope that 2017 brings you much health and success.

The next installment in our renowned Distinguished Speaker Series will take place tomorrow night, Thursday, January 12, 2017. Our event will feature Professor David Carrasco, the Neil L. Rudenstine Professor of the Study of Latin America. Professor Carrasco also has a joint appointment with the Department of Anthropology in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. The title of his presentation is Latinos Remaking America: Crisis and Renovation.

Our event will take place at Melanzana Café in Miramar from 6-9 pm. Melanzana Café is located at 650 Miramar Ave. in San Juan. (Please note that there are two establishments named Melanzana right next to one another: one is Melanzana Bistro, the other is Melanzana Café. You want the latter.)  The folks at Melanzana Café will open up the place at night just for the Harvard Club of Puerto Rico, so we hope to see you all there.

We encourage all current students to join us and spend quality time with your HCPR family!

Important: if you have not done so already, please RSVP to this event by sending an email at harvardclubpr@gmail.com. See you tomorrow night!

Abrazos,

Andrés
