DistiNguished Speaker Series

Dear Members of the Harvard Club of Puerto Rico:

Good evening!  This Sunday, February 26, we continue our Distinguished Speaker Series with a reception and event featuring Dr. Timothy P. McCarthy, who currently serves as Lecturer on History and Literature and on Public Policy at Harvard University. He is also Core Faculty and Director of the Human Rights and Social Movements Program at the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School.  Dr. McCarthy’s courses are consistently among the most popular and highly rated at Harvard.  In February 2010, Dr. McCarthy was voted by the undergraduate student body to be one of ten faculty members featured in the first-ever “Harvard Thinks Big” event, Harvard’s version of the TED Talks, where he delivered a rousing lecture entitled, “Does Protest Have a Future?”

This event has generated a lot of excitement and enthusiasm, which is why we kindly ask you to RSVP today by sending a reply to this e-mail.

The reception begins at 4 pm, and will take place at the home of Mariana Ramirez de Arellano, Class of 2013, located at Calle Nogal # 2, Urbanización San Patricio.  Directions: take Roosevelt Avenue, heading away from Plaza Las Américas and toward Plaza Caparra.  Make a left at the Plaza Caparra traffic light, and keep straight until you reach a guard station.  Once you pass the guard, take the second street to the right.  Mariana’s house is at the end of the street.

I look forward to seeing all of you on Sunday.  Best regards!

Un abrazo,

Andrés
